Description
Handwritten note discussing materials, cost, and planning details for rebuilding the arbor, and requesting a meeting with Mrs. Bliss to discuss construction of balustrade and paving of Arbor Terrace.
Handwritten notations on final page probably written by Mildred Bliss.
A cost estimate for arbor construction is due from Everett Lank of Lank Woodworking Co., Washington, D.C. Contract will be based on enclosed drawings of the existing arbor.
Lank Woodworking Co. was recommended by Harris Collingwood, Forester at the Library of Congress, Gerald Prange of the National Lumber Manufacturers' Association, and Martin Wiegand of Wiegand Lumber Co., Washington, D.C.
