Expense of purchase listed in Beatrix Farrand's half-yearly statement, July 1, 1944 - December 31, 1944, C4:1944.07.01 with note that the negatives and prints were for "record book, etc." Beatrix Farrand mentions in a correspondence to John Thacher, "The item of Sullivan's Studio is for the development and finishing of certain negatives and pictures which I hope to use in the record books and to have for future files of Dumbarton Oaks," D:BF 1945.02.10.
