Description

Drawing signed by Beatrix Farrand, but Ruth Havey probably contributed to the creation of the drawing based on a correspondence, B:MB 1938.07.27.

Written to the right of title: "Lead [with blue shaded box]" indicating that the blue shaded areas on the drawing are to be created in lead.

Drawing repaired on left edge.

A similar design for a Trompe L'Oeil at Warren Towers, Newmarket is shown in the book Garden Ornament by Gertrude, Jekyll, 1918, p. 313.
