Notes

Bodleianus Baroccianus 182.  (Madan Summary Catalogue no. 182 = old Bodley no. 1192.)  Malalas's codex unicus.  Coxe (sub lem.):  "Codex membranaceus, in folio, ff. 331, sec. forsan xii. exeuntis; imperf.  Johannis Antiocheni, cognomento Malalæ, Historia Chronica; in initio et fine mutila.  Exstat e codice nostro eruta, primum in 8vo, Oxon. 1691, postea in folio, in Append. Corp. Hist. Byzant. Venet. 1733; deinde 8vo. Bonnæ 1831", to which Wilson & Barbour add "vide etiam J.B. Bury, Byz. Zeitschrift 1897, pp. 219-30" (see Bibliography).

See Πίνακες entry in Online Resources for bibliography.

No. 13 in "Greek Manuscripts in the Bodleian Library" (anno 1966), where it is dated (contra Coxe above) to the eleventh century.

No. 34 in Wilson's Mediaeval Bookhands (see Bibliography), with plate in second volume of the whole of fol. 273v.  Also there dated to the eleventh century.

Competing numeration. A consistent on in Arabic numerals, centered over the text, runs from 1-321. This begins at page fol. βʹ according to the numbers in the upper righthand corner.  They run so until fol. 20/καʹ after which the centered numbers continue with 21, while the ones in the corner continue with an Arabic 30.

See "Bodley: This Collection" in Online Resources for information including the Madan entry (labeled "Vol. 2 Part 1") and Coxe entry (given by column numbers).
