The Dumbarton Oaks Garden reopens to the public on March 15, 2018
We are excited to announce that the Dumbarton Oaks Garden will reopen on Thursday, March 15!
We just completed an extensive improvement project, but there is still some replanting and ground cover work in progress. In the past eight months:
- 5,600 feet of subterranean pipe have been replaced by a more efficient water supply system.
- The fountains and pools have been retrofitted to conserve water and electricity.
- Landscape features have been added to reduce erosion in the gardens and the lower parks.
Now that spring is here and the major improvements are complete, we hope you join us in watching the garden bloom and regenerate!
