Summer Schools and Workshops

Summer schools and workshops bring together students and scholars for in-depth study of languages, material culture, and theory. Past opportunities have included the Garden and Landscape Studies Graduate Workshop, the Plant Humanities Summer Program, and summer schools in Byzantine Greek, Syriac and Coptic, and Byzantine coins and seals.

COVID-19 Notice

Although Dumbarton Oaks hopes to offer on-site accommodation and instruction, due to the ongoing pandemic and the possibility of travel restrictions, the program may have to take a hybrid or virtual form. Successful applicants will be notified of any developments.
