The British Travel and Holidays Association was Great Britain’s official tourist organization. First established in 1929 as the Travel Association, a membership organization for the travel trades, it was recreated in 1950 as the British Travel and Holidays Association, a government association. In 1969, the name changed again to the British Tourist Authority.
