Condé Nast Publications, Inc.

Greenwich, Connecticut and New York, New York, USA, 1909–present (Publisher)

Condé Nast, Inc. was established by Condé Montrose Nast (1873–1942) when he purchased Vogue magazine in 1909. He added other types of magazines to his company, including House & Garden, and expanded internationally. His magazines covered a wide range of subjects, such as travel, fashion, home, and food, and were largely targeted to the upper-middle class. After increasing publication throughout the twentieth century, Condé Nast has continued to keep up with the technology of the twenty-first century, acquiring the popular website Reddit and providing digital subscriptions.
