Edgar Longstaffe

Edgar Longstaffe (1852–1933) was a British landscape painter. He was born near Derby, England, and later moved to Newport, Essex. He was employed by the publishers Raphael Tuck & Sons and S. Hildesheimer & Co., Ltd. to produce views of landscapes in the British Isles for reproduction on postcards. Many of his views portrayed the scenery of the Scottish Highlands, often with cattle. His paintings have the conjoined monogram EL.
