Georg Wagenführ

Georg Wagenführ (1871–1950) was a German watercolor painter who painted portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, and industrial properties. Much of his work was done during his many long trips to the Middle East, the Far East, and North Africa, as well as France and Holland. Wagenführ was born in Finsterwalde, Brandenburg, Germany and died in 1950 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bavaria, Germany. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin and then attended a similar institute in Zurich. He later became a student of the Munich Academy. Georg Wagenführ spent most of his artistic career in Paris. His watercolors of Istanbul were printed on postcards issued by Adrien's Post Card.
