Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant (1845–1902), born Jean-Joseph Constant, was a French painter and etcher best known for his orientalist subjects and portraits. He was born in Paris and studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Toulouse. A trip to Morocco in 1872 strongly influenced his early artistic development and lead to his interest in romantic subjects under the influence of orientalism.
