Paris, France, 1884–1908 (Designer and Artist)
Marcel Jambon (1884–1908) was a French set designer and scene painter. He received his early training from Auguste Rubé and Philippe Chaperon, two of France’s most prominent nineteenth-century decorators. In the early twentieth century, he began a collaboration with Alexandre Bailly. He and Bailly designed the sets for acts 1, 2, and 6 of the 1902 revival of Victorien Sardou’s play, Théodora.
