The bulk of the images depict early Christian built works, but Kidner also photographs street scenes and landscapes of the regions he visited. The largest portion of photographs (over 9,000) were taken in Syria, but Egypt, Tunisia, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon are all also represented.
