This collection contains approximately 17,000 photographs of manuscripts that duplicate the Kurt Weitzmann photographic archive housed in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. These photographs of Greek manuscripts, Latin manuscripts, and ancient book illuminations were originally compiled by Kurt Weitzmann throughout his career from the early 1930s to the 1980s.

Dumbarton Oaks does not hold any of the rights to materials in this collection. Permission to publish must be obtained from the Visual Resources Department at Princeton University.
