The collection is comprised of research notes, publication materials, correspondence, photographs, and slides that relate to the fieldwork and publication associated with the Corpus des Mosaïques de Tunisie (CMT), or Corpus of Tunisian Mosaics. These documents illustrate and record the administrative affairs of the CMT project and the work performed by Margaret Alexander, the project's field director. The collection also includes Alexander’s dissertation notes, research materials related to projects undertaken during her Dumbarton Oaks Junior Fellowship (1942–1945), and some personal correspondence.

These materials were donated to Dumbarton Oaks without a formal deed of gift; however, Dumbarton Oaks will provide high-resolution images for publication. Request images.
