Burlington House

Burlington House

Burlington House is a former private mansion of the Earls of Burlington in Piccadilly in London. In the mid-nineteenth century, it was purchased by the British government and expanded to house the Royal Academy and five learned societies: Geological Society of London, Linnean Society of London, Royal Astronomical Society, Society of Antiquaries of London, and Royal Society of Chemistry. Burlington House is the venue for the Royal Academy’s temporary art exhibitions.
