Royall Tyler, Esquire

55 Avenue Foch

Paris XVI.

Dear Royall,

In my last letter I failed to tell you that Volume 12Volume 12 covered from January to July 1554 and was published in London, in 1949. of the Spanish Calendar had arrived. It came some time between our seeing you in August and my return last week. You are very kind to let us have this Volume and it will go with the preceding one to proudly grace our Founders Room.At Dumbarton Oaks, the former Bliss living room was renamed the Founders Room in 1948 and was intended to house Mildred Barnes Bliss’s expanding garden research library and her collection of historical correspondence, autographs, holographic documents, and musical scores. This room was superseded by the creation of the Garden Library and Rare Book Room in 1960–1963.

You will be seeing Mildred, I assume, within the next fortnight, as I think she intends to make a flying visit to Paris.

My love to you and Elisina.

Yours ever,
