Royall Tyler to Robert Woods Bliss, April 24, 1937

Budapest 24th April 1937.

Dear Robert,

I have just received from V. a photograph of the relief with two stags,Stags and vase relief. See Gerd-H. Zuchold, Der “Klosterhof” des Prinzen Karl von Preussen im Park von Schloss Glienicke in Berlin (Berlin: Gebr. Mann Verlag, 1993), 1: pl. 122 and 2:148, no. 130. mentioned by him previously and by me in my letters to you.See letter of April 6, 1937. It looks pretty good, of its style. As you will see from Volbach’s letterThe whereabouts of this letter are unknown. accompanying it, there is no indication of price. I think it is up to the other side to give you some more encouraging indication than anything you have had as yet before you make an offer.
