Commentary
Compare to DOC 1:51–52, nos. 40 (with INSΔ) and 41, cited in D. Waagé, Antioch-on-the-Orontes, 4.2: no. 2091. These two issues dated to indictions 4 (525/526) and 5 (526/527) are known from only a score of surviving specimens. In the INSE reverse exergue inscription, the S could be either a part of “indictionis,” according to Hahn (MIBE 36), or a sign of abbreviation for “IN[dictione quinta].”
MIBE 102, no. 53.
