Commentary

Cf. DOC 2.2:395, no. 1a with officina Γ. Grierson did not include this specimen in the catalogue because the plates had already been completed and he did not want to publish it unless it could be illustrated. The tentative attribution of a series of coins to Heraklonas by Grierson is generally rejected. They are now given back to Constans II. See discussion in MIB 3:87–88, 123.

MIB 3:235, no. 3 (as a coin of Constans II)
