Commentary
Grierson has noted that this specimen allowed him to correct his reading of DOC 1:221, no. 64.2, which reads: “Overstruck, for Δ. Beneath, ΔTES (Δ from an earlier type).” This new coin made it clear to him that the Δ in the right field of the reverse is a , not a , and moreover that below the K the first letter is not a Δ but an , and is not from an earlier striking.
