Commentary
This type belongs to a rare series of indictionally dated coins of greater diameter than the usual small, thick flans issued by the mint of Carthage. Dumbarton Oaks has an uncatalogued coin of this large module solidi cited in DOC 2.1:257–58, no. 33, as of “crude fabric” (BZC.1966.12; Spink from Vinchon).
