Commentary

This coin comes from the Jericho hoard, a lot of coins bought from a Jericho dealer by an Austrian collector from Carinthia. Circumstances of the find are unknown. This group of coins were later auctioned at Rauch, 12 May 1973, nos. 663–84. (Information by W. Hahn email to C. Morrisson, November 2013.)
