Commentary

The combination of the star and  on the reverse is known from the solidus (D. Ricotti-Prina, “La monetazione siciliana nell’epoca bizantina,” no. 100 = D. R. Sear, Byzantine Coins and Their Values, no. 1534) but is unpublished for the tremissis. If it stands for the sixth indiction, it could be 722/723, when Constantine V was four years old.
