Commentary
DOC 2.1:348, no. (232) (citing BMC 342). MIB 3:148 cites also BNC (Herakleios) CAR 02 and Münzen und Medaillen AG, Basel 332, March 1972, no. 40. Both date the coin to 613 (or 613–617) since they take the two figures to represent Herakleios and his son Herakleios Constantine. But Morrisson and Seibt, comparing it with the seal of the kommenkiarios Marinos have reattributed the coin to Heraklonas and Herakleios Constantine (the future Constatine III) during their brief period of joint rule.
