The scribe is Βαάνης νοτάριος (copyist also of Mus. Brit. Harleianus 5694; Vogel & Gardthausen p. 48), writing for Arethas. For a reproduction (taken from Omont's Fac-similés) from Vaánis's Clement, with transcription and short palæographical notes, see Thompson in our Bibliography and Online Resources (Πανομοιότυπον 37 in Lambros's translation, unnumbered in Thompson's original).

We assume with Allen et al. (see Bibliography) that abbreviations all represent the genitive case, but two of their other examples do have «Ἀρέθᾳ ἐπισκόπῳ».

Fols. 402-403 are in uncials.

(Inner part of backboard?)  A handy note: «Ἀθηναγόρου Πρεσβεία ὑπὲρ Χριστιανῶν 322».
