View of the Scottish Square

On the left is the Palais Harrach, the work of Domenico Martinelli (1650–1718), a key figure in shaping the baroque style north of the Alps; across from it is the Scottish Abbey. In the background is the richly ornamented Palais Daun designed by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt (1668–1745), another important architect of the Viennese baroque.
