Lunar calendar of the Muisca of Colombia, contemporaries of the Inca (Chibcha)

From Humboldt, 1810.

According to Clements Markham, 1912, the correct name for the pre-Conquest inhabitants of this part of Colombia is the Chibcha. The Spanish called this group the Muisca, but this was merely the name for “man” in the Chibcha language.
