Ninety-nine (99) original garden designs, 45 in sepia ink, 54 outlined in sepia ink and hand colored.

Includes drawings of flower beds, mazes, parks, trellised entrances, parterres etc. in the 17th century French manner, that is, symmetrical and displaying regular geometrical patterns.

The artist who designed the drawings may have been a German practitioner: two drawings provide a scale in German measurements.

Date from bookseller Lucien Goldschmidt, New York, N.Y.: "executed during the 17th century".
