Accession number BZS.1947.2.1533
Diameter 24.0 mm
Previous Editions

Translation

Μιχαὴλ φρούρει τοῦ Μιχαὴλ τὰς πράξεις.

(The archangel) Michael protects the acts of Michael.

Commentary

Dodecasyllable. In his unpublished catalogue of the Shaw collection, Laurent restored the last word as τουμάρχου (tourmarch). On the other hand, Wassiliou-Seibt read τὰς φράσεις or τὰς πράξεις. We accept her reading and note the alternatives she presents.
