Ἰνδικτιὼν ι´. Θωμᾶ πατρικίου, γενικοῦ λογοθέτου καὶ κομμερκιαρίου ἀποθήκης Θεσαλονίκις.

Indiction 7. Thomas patrikios, genikos logothetes and kommerkiariois of the apotheke of Thessalonica.

Commentary

Zacos-Veglery ascribed this seal to the reign of Leo III. This identification seems correct based on iconographic comparison with Leo's copper coinage, Class 2 (see Grierson, Catalogue, III, 1, no. 29a, pl. III; Grierson has assigned this series of coins to 720-732).
