Commentary

The circular inscription for this seal was read by V. Laurent and recorded in his manuscript of his catalogue for the Shaw collection. It is a metrical inscription also found on another seal listed in Laurent, Βulles métriques, no. 536, where he corrects an earlier reading of the seal by Schlumberger, Sigillographie, 62, no. 7.
