Translation

Ἐμοῦ φύλαξ βίου τε καὶ τῶν γραμμάτων.

(Be) the guardian of my life and letters.

Commentary

It is necessary to understand a verb (ἔσο or γίνου) to make the inscription work as an invocation to the saint shown on the obverse.
