Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἰωάννῃ Στυπῇ.

Lord, help your servant John Stypes.

Commentary

In his catalogue of the Shaw collection, Laurent read the final lines as Ἰωάννης στρατηγῷ, but it is clear that the last line consists of the owner's family name.
