Translation
Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἰωάννῃ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ ἐπὶ τοῦ Χρυσοτρικλίνου καὶ στρατιγῷ Ἀβάρας.
Lord, help your servant John protospatharios epi tou Chrysotriklinou and strategos of Abara.
Commentary
If Abara is the correct reading, it is to be situated in or near the modern Mancilik, halfway between Sebasteia (Sivas) to the north and Gurun to the south.
