Κύριε βοήθει 'Ιωάννῃ βεστάρχῃ το Κομιτᾷ

Lord, help John Komitas, vestarches.

Commentary

The reading of the owner's family name is not certain, but the last letter in the reverse inscription appears to be alpha. Hence we read Komitas, but with reservations.
