The Mother of God standing with her hands upraised in prayer. On either side, epigraphy: ̅θυ̅: Μή(τη)ρ Θ(εο)ῦ. Border of dots.

Inscription of four lines, a cross above. Border of dots.

Seal of the eparch Dominikos Manios.

Commentary

Known only from his seals, Dominikos Manios will have been a Latin who obtained the office of eparch either through long experience and assimilation in Constantinople or through connections with other Latins active in the Byzantine capital. See Wassiliou-Seibt's comments and further references.
