Translation
Κύριε βοήθη Λεοντᾶν μακελάρην.
Lord, help Leontas, butcher.
Commentary
The reading of the last part of the inscription is uncertain; we read μακελάρην as a syncopated form of μακελλάριον. Seibt proposes μακ[ελ]λί[τ(ην)] as a variation of makellarios. In either case, however, the owner will have been a butcher.
