The Virgin standing, holding the Child in her right arm. Traces of sigla at left: ̣̅ : Μή(τη)ρ [Θ(εο)ῦ]. Two letters of an epithet: α : [ἡ] Βα[σσιότισσα]. Border of dots.

Reverse

Inscription of four lines, presumably beginning with a cross. Border of dots.

Κωνσταντῖνον σκέποις με σὸν δοῦλον, κόρη.

Virgin, may you help your servant Constantine.

Commentary

Metrical inscription of twelve syllables.

The traces of epigraphy at the left of the obverse suggest the Marian epithet Bassiotissa.
