Commentary
The reverse is quite difficult to interpret. Zacos interprets it as πατρικίου, however he incorrectly finds a Κ using the bottom bar of the Ε with the right arm of the Α. It could be read as Εὐπατερίου--either a patronymic or double name--or it could read as a name with the title ὑπάτου, such as Σεργίου or even Πέτρου. It would be strange to see Πέτρου on both sides of the seal, but possible, especially if one side is a patronymic. However for all intents and purposes, it is ambiguous.
