Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Θεοδόρῳ ὑπάτῳ καὶ διυκητῇ Νακολείας.

Lord, help your servant Theodore, hypatos and dioiketes of Nakoleia.

Commentary

Nakoleia (modern Seyitgazi, 38 km southwest of Eski Şehir) was a bishopric of Synada, then archbishopric (ninth century), then metropolis (before 1066). It also had some administrative importance as shown by the existence of a dioikesis named after the city. See Zgusta, 418; Phrygien und Pisidien, 344-46; ODB II, 1434.
