Half-length figure of St. Demetrios holding lance in right hand and shield in left. Sigla on either side: |Δ|Η-Μ|ΗΤ|ΡΙΟ|Σ : ὁ ἅ(γιος) Δημήτριος. Border of dots.

Commentary

The symmetrical, cascading linear folds flanking the Mother of God's face are similar to those engraved on other seals of the late eleventh and early twelfth centuries; see also BZS.1955.1.1864.
