Commentary

The letter on the left arm of the reverse cruciform monogram is indistinct and uncertain, however it is likely an N, cf. BZS.1955.1.201 and Zacos-Veglery, no. 1110 (though it comes from a different boulleterion). Other possibilities for the reading of the monogram include the less common Ἀννιανοῦ (Annanianos), or Ἰουλιανοῦ (Julian)--made less likely by the duplication of the Ν instead of the insertion of an explicit Λ.
