Condition Both dies too large for blank. Mildly chipped and worn.

Κύριε βοήθει Γεωργίῳ σπαθαρίῳ.

Lord, help George, spatharios.

Commentary

It is possible that the owner's title was protospatharios, imperial spatharios, or imperial protospatharios, but the spacing of letters suggests that "spatharios" is most likely.
