Translation

Σῶτηρ σῴζε τὸν σὸν δούλον Ἀλύπιον στρατηλάτην.

Savior, save your servant Alypios, stratelates.

Commentary

The first two letters of the owner's name appear to have been transposed; we have tacitly corrected this in the transcription. The reading of his title as stratelates is provisional, given the damage to the last letter on the reverse, but it is by far the most likely restoration.
