Commentary

The owner of the present seal could well be the author of an Alphabetos than Anastasijević considered to be influenced by the writings of Symeon Metaphrastes (late tenth century) and Nikephoros Ouranos (ca. 1000): D. Anastasijević, "Alphabete," BZ 16 (1907) 482-83, 491-92.
