A patriarchal cross mounted on a base of three steps. Within concentric borders of dots, a circular inscription beginning with a cross at seven o'clock:

Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἰωσὴφ βασιλικῷ σπαθαροκανδιδάτῳ καὶ χαρτουλαρίῳ τοῦ στόλου.

Commentary

Note that the engraver mistakenly inscribed Λ for Δ in the word δούλῳ on the obverse.
