Translation

Lord, help your servant Romanos metropolitan of Thessalonica.

Commentary

Laurent mistakenly read the vertical inscription on the obv. as Α|Γ. He reasonably attributed this seal to the metropolitan Romanos who succeeded Theophanes in or shortly after 1038 (Gouillard, Synodikon, 114.10).
