Translation

τὸν Δαλασινὸν ἐκ γένους Νικηφόρον, ἀρχάγγελε, σκέποις με σὺν τῇ Παρθένῳ.

First among the angels, may you, together with the Virgin, protect Nikephoros, from the line of the Dalassenoi.

Commentary

The inscription consists of two twelve-syllable verses. Note the use of accent marks.
