The Mother of God standing, her arms upraised in supplication. Sigla on either side: ̅θυ̅ : Μή(τη)ρ Θ(εο)ῦ. Remains of a circular inscription at lower right. Border of dots.

Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δοὐλῳ. τῷ σῷ ἀναξίῳ δούλῳ Θεοδώρῳ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ κριτῇ τῷ Μαυρικᾷ.

Mother of God, help your servant. Your unworthy servant Theodore Maurikas, protospatharios and judge.

Commentary

It appears that the reverse inscription continues from the invocation partially preserved on the obverse, but with some repetition of the wording.
